Bowl for Kids' Sake with St. John

St. John in the Wilderness

Bowl for Kids’ Sake is back, this year with the theme “Once Upon a Time.” This fundraiser of Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Western North Carolina will be held on Saturday, March 4, from 11am-1pm at Tarheel Lanes (3275 Asheville Hwy, Hendersonville). St. John is sending two teams: one for adults and one for youth, both with a goal of raising $500 for the programs of BBBS.

BBBS selects and matches mentors with children facing adversity and provides ongoing activities, training, and support services for both families and volunteers to foster a lasting and beneficial connection. Littles not only get a mentor in their match with a Big, but also a friend who pours into their life and enables them to build higher aspirations for themselves. This support facilitates academic improvement, personal growth, development of life skills and improved self-confidence for Littles as well as enriching the lives of Bigs.

Youth team members should RSVP to Fr. Ian Williams.

Adults should RSVP here.

Participants are encouraged to dress as a favorite book, fairytale, or graphic novel character–and yes, there is a prize for best costume!

Don’t want to bowl, but want to support the cause? Help our teams meet their fundraising goals by donating to BBBS at either button below.
